Emperors Champion

Painted this guy up randomly today! Needed a fun one off piece to get my painting back in the swing of things, and he fit the bill perfectly. The photos didn't come out great unfortunately. I'll likely be taking some new ones tomorrow so they feel a bit less flat.

Oh, and if any Templar types are looking to add to their force, this guy is on the market for a good home!

Sons of Medusa Attack Bike

The recon forces of my Sons of Medusa gain another member today! This time in the form of an Attack Bike. Really happy with this one, it's not a super clean paint job, but it was fun and I actually enjoyed painting it. Check out the pic below for a bit more detail.

Pods are 'Done'

Finished them up finally! It took me a while to get around to finishing them, but mostly because I didn't have a set sit down and paint time at the end of the day. I've decided to see to that as part of my day off of school routine ( along with a little bit of skating and gym time! ).

All in all it was a great learning experience using my airbrush on this project. I need some additional equipment that I'll likely order soon.

I guess it's time to get back to work on my other projects while I sort out the next commission.

More Airbrush, More Learning

I'm really going all out with the airbrush on the drop pod commission. Learning a lot as I do as well. I'm obviously going to have to go back in and do a bit of clean up here and there with the brush, but I'm really happy with the knowledge I've picked up so far!

The plan from here out is to go brush in the black and touch up over spray by hand as well. After that they should be good to go! And while this took a bit longer than expected, future projects should be much faster with the airbrush up and running now. Just need to plan things out a bit more!

I'm hoping to start sharing what I've learned from this so far with those of you out there looking to start using an airbrush! Expect something on TPC in the next month or so!

Airbrush Up and Running!!

I finally got an Airbrush up and running with no small donation from my good friend LBursley! To get me started in learning the thing and it's abilities, I've used it to help paint the Codex Grey onto the Drop Pod commission!

I'm headed out to GW Onley tomorrow for a pot of Mechrite Red and possibly some Boltgun Metal as well.

I'm already really impressed with how the airbrush works for me. I'm just doing the simple stuff right now trying to learn the limits of the new tool, but I can't believe I did without it for so long!

Pod Drops

They look so impressive en masse!

Just a quick update. Final drop pod assembled and primed today. Pretty happy with the speed of assembly and hope to get the first pod painted tomorrow. Stay Tuned.

Pod Progress and Something New

Just a bit of a 'progress report' for the Drop Pods Commission today. I've assembled another and was able to get both primed. One more to assemble tomorrow and while that's drying, I'll likely start painting the first Drop Pod to set the scheme.

And a little something extra: Space Marine Attack Bike!

This was going to be a second try for an entry for the Dakka Painting Challenge, but I ended up being sidetracked once I had it primed. But it is still on track for some paint. You might be asking, 'How is he going to paint it?', and to you I give only this hint.

Can't wait to break my paints out tomorrow.
